This calculator uses the same conventions as Excel:
+ is plus,
 is minus,
* is multiply,
/ is divide.
Only plus, minus, multiply and divide ( +*/ ) are allowed.
This is not a scientific calculator, it's really intended for everyday use when you need some simple numbers calculated or added.
As with Excel and most other conventions, multiplication and division occur first, so you may need to enclose some numbers in brackets. You can see the examples for how this works.
Every new line is added to the number already stored as it works down the page, until an = (equals sign) or some text is encountered, at which point it writes the answer so far and and starts a new sum, going down the board.
As a default the answers are to 2 decimal places but you can show up to 6. The calculations behind the answers use many more decimal places and only the final answer is rounded to 2 decimal places, or however many you have chosen.
That's it! A simple tool to make your life easier. The quickest way to learn is to use the examples and play with them.
